Carl Szantyr is a financier and entrepreneur whose work focuses on alternative investments and digital assets. With extensive experience across structured products, private equity and blockchain-related investment strategies, he leads Blockstone Capital as Founder and Chief Executive Officer, where he oversees the firm’s strategic direction and the development of its digital asset multi-strategy platform. He also serves as Managing Partner and Head of Investor Relations at Blockstone Capital Partners LLP, where he works with partners on capital-raising initiatives and activities related to its alternative investment fund manager operations.
Mr. Szantyr began his career in capital markets, with a focus on structured products, establishing a derivatives platform in France in his mid-twenties. Through Goldstone Capital, he worked with wealth managers on institutional pricing and customised investment structures, and later became involved in private equity initiatives focused on sustainability and renewable energy. Over the years, he has advised companies across Europe and Asia on structuring, fundraising and mergers and acquisitions. Since 2017, he has been active in the digital asset space, advising investors and businesses on capital formation and hedge fund strategies within the digital asset sector. In 2021, he founded Blockstone Capital and subsequently established related entities, including regulated digital asset fund structures. The firm’s digital asset fund has been shortlisted in industry award categories, including the HFM European Performance Awards in 2025.
Mr. Szantyr earned an MBA from Columbia Business School through the EMBA-Global programme in partnership with London Business School and the University of Hong Kong. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he speaks at industry conferences on digital assets and alternative investments. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family and maintaining an active lifestyle.
